South Korean pop singer/rapper Park Jae-sang(website: www.psypark.com) has crossed all records of youtube hits. The youtube video was seen so many times that the visit counter could not hold the increasing value of the hits and finally youtube had to upgrade its system.
As in youtube’s statement
“We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views) but that was before we met Psy,”
Ideally int32 max value is 2,147,483,647 which is considered sufficient for the normal stat counters. As the video hits was exceeding the maximum value of the integer YouTube had to upgrade the counter value to int64. Now the youtube visit counter can hold 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 hits which is more then enough.
